Here's how to enter the $100 giveaway:  

Each blog post has a secret code word or phrase and a number.  The code words/phrases fit together in numerical order to make a secret sentence.

    1. Oh my word, yes! The look on their face is just priceless. A combination of pity and wonder (about your sanity probably). :D The world's best kept secret is that NOBODY has as much fun at work as middle school teachers! Shhhh. Don't tell!

  3. you can handle spinner, water bottle tossing, and the "dab" without blinking and possibly use it to show a science concept to keep their interest!

  11. ...if you love seeing that spark when kids grasp an abstract concept for the first time, making connections and generalizations, and yet you also recognize that some of the younger kids in the class are still very, very literal and concrete. And that's okay, because your lessons include activities to nurture that too.

    1. Oh boy, I agree with this. I think middle school teachers have to understand things at a college level and explain things like a story book.

  13. You could be a middle school teacher if...you are quirky and upbeat! Middle school students are one in their own! You need to beat to your own drum and connect with the students and stay on top of the "coolest" trends to be a true middle schooler at heart

    You love teaching about sexual and asexual reproduction, just because of the reaction of the kids when you say those words.
